I led this adventure in March 2025, and although I usually don’t repeat trips (because there are so many amazing places to see), I am repeating this one because it is just that special. On day three, I stepped off the water and exclaimed, “That was the most fun I have ever had in my life.” Guest Claudia Cowen agreed and recently told me it was her favorite trip ever!
This visually spectacular journey is jam-packed with exhilarating adventure. We spend our days running whitewater on some of the world’s best rivers: the iconic Futaleufú is the Everest of rivers, the impossibly turquoise Río Azul is as technical as it is scenic, and the serene Río Espolón is a more relaxed day where everyone can try individual kayaks. We had so much fun on the water that I added an extra day to this upcoming trip!
Beyond time on legendary rivers, we’ll also hike to a glacial lake, paddleboard, mountain bike, and soak in traditional hot tubs. Yoga is offered to complement our daily adventures. But know that every activity is optional. You can even choose to stay back and relax at one of our beautiful lodges. They are exquisite eco-sanctuaries in remote, breathtaking landscapes. The food and accommodations alone are worth the journey. We are not roughing it.
Patagonia is vast and wild, yet we make the experience seamless with expert local guides, hopper flights, and scenic bus rides. We have chosen to work with river guides who have more experience than their counterparts and who set the safety standards in their profession. They know the river and the region like the back of their hands. We will learn about the history of the area from them. I offer wellness and dharma talks during our downtime.
If you are craving adventure, beauty, and sheer joy with lovely, like-minded people, I hope you’ll join me for this truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Love,
Kristen Addicks
